Bengaluru: The Karnataka Associated Managements of Schools (KAMS) has withdrawn its earlier advisory calling for schools to remain closed during the Cauvery bandh on August 13. The association has instead urged schools to remain open, while allowing staff to wear black ribbons and encouraging students to learn about the water dispute through balanced, factual and peaceful discussions.

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission has announced the Grade 1 Teacher results for English and Commerce under the School Lecturer recruitment. Released on August 10, the merit lists and cut-off marks are available in PDF format. Qualified candidates will proceed to eligibility and document scrutiny, while results for other subjects are awaited.
